Agronomist training for mandal agri officers in State concludes

 Rajendranagar: The 10th and 11th phase of agronomist training programme for the mandal agricultural officers in the State concluded on Saturday at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University. 

Commissioner of Agriculture Dr M Jaganmohan,   the chief guest, handed over certificates to the participants along with Vice-Chancellor Prof. V Praveen Rao, besides the resource persons (scientists). Addressing the gathering, Jaganmohan stated that the training, as desired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, would enable the officers to offer better facilities to farmers. He advised them to change their style of working, by being available to ryots and give sound advice to them. 

Jaganmohan suggested similar training to the agriculture extension officers. Prof Rao, who presided, called upon the officers who underwent training to give at least one success story. He said soon a training course for ADAs would be launched.  Rao thanked the CM and Agriculture Minister for providing the university a chance to train the officers. Among those present were extension education centre director Dr Madhubabu, officials of Agriculture Commissionarate Nazamuddin and Sivanand.
