Identified villages get drinking water supply
Hyderabad: About 18 of total 57 identified villages started getting drinking water which was under the ORR project as part of the first phase. The second phase will supply water for 11 villages from March 28. These villages were identified by the water board for supply of drinking water.
A review meeting was held by water board managing director M Dana Kishore on Monday. He informed that works pertaining to the project for other villages would be completed by March 31. The villages which started getting drinking water are Mammarajguda, Mariyapuram, Wade-E-Huda, Sunrise Colony, Hakimpet, Singaipally, Antaipally, Upperpally, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Pocharam, Nekhnampur, Annojiguda, Alijapur and Godumakunta, Shahen Nagar, Osman Nagar, Kompally Thanda, Ilapur Thanda.
The second Phase 11 villages are Basuregadi, Mysammaguda, Gyanapur, Nizampet WHSC, Sainagar WHS Colony, Bowrampet, Bachupally, Dommar pochampally, Saraguda, Bhadurpally, Sreeram Nagar. Dana Kishore said that the ORR Project comprises providing water supply to 183 villages and 7 municipalities by October 2018 at an estimated cost of Rs.628 Crores. He directed the Project officers and the implementing agency to complete the works as per timelines taking all necessary.
