Korean varsity to collaborate with EFLU
Osmania University: Suresh Chukkapalli, Honorary-Consul General in Hyderabad, Republic of Korea, called on Prof E Suresh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad on Monday.
The meeting explored the possibility of joint collaborations and student-exchange programme between the EFL University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, Republic of Korea. Established during the same period (HUFS in 1954, and the EFL University, formerly as CIEFL, in 1958), both the Universities share common vision/goal i.e., imparting foreign language skills and researching various issues related to the teaching and learning of languages, among other things.
The joint collaborations will provide a platform for healthy exchange of academic inputs, research, and in turn promote employment opportunities to students from both the countries. HUFS promotes foreign language education and is widely considered as one of the best private higher education institutions in South Korea, especially on foreign languages and Social Sciences.
