KVA demands recognisation for 26 weaker castes

Qutubullapur: Members of the Koppula Vellama Association(KVA) submitted a request to Qutubullapur MLA KP Vivekanand at his residence requesting him to enlist 26 economically and socially weaker castes in the constituency under GO Number 3 to help them receive their fair share of rights. 

Speaking on the occasion, the members cited that many of the downtrodden communities who have come from Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Vishakapatnam and several other places in the erstwhile AP state are suffering despite living in Hyderabad for nearly 30 years. They urged the BC Commission to give them a recognition to lead comfortable lives. The MLA assured to support them and said he is already in talks with the state government over the issue.The event was attended by Vice President Rama Rao, Venugopal, Eeswar Rao, Kiran Naidu, Venkataramana and others.
