Lorry rams into bike on NH 44, one dead, another injured

Toopran: In a hit and run accident, one person died, and another was seriously injured after an unknown lorry collided with the bike on the National Highway 44 at Nagulapally village in Toopran mandal of Medak district. 

The deceased was identified as Padamati Veeresham who belongs to Konapur village of Sadashivpet mandal and the injured Shivakumar belongs to Bidar of Karnataka. They were shifted to Gandhi Hospital by highway ambulance by the Toopran SI Nagarjuna Goud who rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident. 

The registration number of the lorry was identified by the CCTC footage at toll plaza and a case will be registered against the driver of the vehicle, said SI. The villagers alleged that the crossroads at Nagulapally became an accident-prone area and demanded that the National Highway authorities should construct a flyover to avoid accidents there.
