     Location                              Old fare     New Fare

Mehdipatnam to Langer Houz    10 Rs    15 Rs
Mehdipatnam to Attapur             10 Rs    15 Rs
Mehdipatnam to Tolichowki         10 Rs    15 Rs
Langer Houz to Afzal Gunj          15 Rs    25 Rs
Langer Houz to Golkonda           10 Rs    20 Rs

The sharing auto services are available at many locations in the city sometimes they provide better services than Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses, like most of the passengers travelling from Afzal Gunj to Lange Houz completely depend on sharing auto services because the buses in this area are scarce with more number of passengers traveling. Likewise many areas in the city like Purana pul, Afzal Gunj, Goshamahal, Karwan, Mallepally, Nampally, Jhirra,  Gudimalkapur are among areas where the sharing autos play a major transport role.

Auto Driver Shabber said “Petrol prices are going high and the auto fare is changed for the first time since two years, moreover most of the sharing auto drivers do not own autos, usually the autos are rented because we cannot afford them. We have to pay rent for auto and after paying the rent there is hardly any money left for us apart from this we also have to manage the fuel cost and maintain the vehicle”.

Akshay a passenger said “twenty rupees is too much for short distance of only about two kilometers, and the autos are cramped with passengers. Auto should carry only four passengers at a time, but drivers do not move until they fill the auto with about six to seven passengers”.
