Skyways work on National Highways soon

Hyderabad:  The Skyways work on the stretches of National Highways (NH) in the Hyderabad city is to be completed within 24 to 30 months. According to official sources, as of now, the works are targeted to be completed by the end of FY 2020-21. For the speedy completion of the works the Centre has already sanctioned funds for taking up elevated corridors and others on the NH stretches in the city.

So far, Rs 283.15 crore has been sanctioned for the 6-lane elevated corridor, flyover and others between Aramgarh- Shamshabad sections of Hyderabad-Bengaluru of NH No. 44. Tender for these works have already been received and financial bids are submitted to the ministry for approval. 

Similarly, for the construction of 4-lane flyover of 1.415 km at Amberpet X road on NH No. 202, about Rs, 186.71 crore have been sanctioned. Revised estimates have been submitted for the approval of the Center, the sources added. That apart, the Environment and Forest Clearance have been obtained for the construction of a 6-lane elevated corridor at Hyderabad-Bhoopalapatnam section with an estimated cost of Rs 626.80 crore.
