Visually challenged complete computer courses
Charminar: Dozens of visually challenged students have completed their computer courses sponsored by the State Board of Technical Education and they were conferred with certificates on Sunday. They were educated by the Ideal Information Centre for Disabled in MS Office, Typing and computer courses for six months.
Despite their disability, many students scored well in the courses including multimedia and others. Certificates were distributed among the students at Islamic Centre at Chatta Bazar on Sunday. Waqf Board Member Malik Motasim Khan distributed the certificates among students. On this occasion Malik Motasim said that will power can defy all the challenges including physical disabilities. He said that not having a kind heart was the biggest disability today.
He said, “If someone decides to get expertise and learn anything, nothing can stop the strong will power and not even physical disability.” He appreciated the efforts of Ideal Information Centre for imparting training to the students with visual and other disabilities.
IICD chairman Rashaduddin and parents of the children were also present on this occasion. It was a great moment of pride for the students and their guardians too. Rashaduddin said that every human being has a unique talent and society must not waste any of those in order to ensure a holistic development. He said that the centre was established to give a necessary encouragement to the generally marginalized section of the society. He said that institute was filling light into the lives of visually challenged people of the society and helping pursue their dreams.
