Tractor load of smuggled sand seized

Tandur:  A tractor load of sand being smuggled from Kagna River here was seized in the wee hours of Tuesday. Two persons were arrested in connection with the smuggling.  

According to CI Pratapa Lingam, when the tractor driver was asked to show the relevant papers he failed to produce the same.  Therefore, a case was registered against the driver Siva Kumar and tractor owner Venkataiah of Sangem Kurdu village in Yalala mandal.
