Former MLA Sudhir Reddy takes out protest rally

L B Nagar: Former L B Nagar MLA D Sudhir Reddy on Wednesday criticised the TRS government for totally failing to solve people’s problems. He organised a protest rally on the Saroornagar mini-tank bund with the slogan ‘Assembly lo Abhuvrudhi Kothalu, Nagaramlo Domala Mothalu’. 

He pointed out that the sewerage treatment plant in the Saroornagar tank had been rendered ineffective because of lack of supervision. ‘As a result the tank is full of hyacinth and has become a mosquito-generation centre. The mosquitoes have become a menace to the residents of the adjoining colonies. Yet none is bothered to take preventive action’, Reddy alleged. He accused the local TRS leaders of miserably failing in finding solutions to the people’s problems. He demanded revival of the sewerage treatment plant and removal of hyacinth. Otherwise, he warned of conducting a massive agitation.

Addressing the participants in the rally, senior Congress leaders Tulasi Srinivas, Bichenepalli Venkateshwar Rao said the mosquito menace was posing a threat to the lives of local residents. They wanted the hyacinth in the Saroornagar tank to be removed to save the people while warning of staging a massive agitation.
