Double tragedy strikes farmer’s family in Budhdharam

Peddemul: A father and son were electrocuted on Wednesday night when they went to their farm in Budhdharam village of Vikarabad district. The deceased were identified as Boyina Anjaiah (55) and Santosh (27). 

They felt water in the bore well on their farm is inadequate to irrigate the sugar cane crop and went to the neighbouring farm of Boyina Ramu to seek permission to use his bore well. Ramu erected an electric fence to save his maize crop from wild boars. 

The duo accidentally came into contact with the live electric wire leading to their instantaneous death. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the tragedy.
