UoH student to pursue PhD in Purdue University
Gachibowli: Vibha V. Kanale, a student from the internationally acclaimed School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been offered a fully funded graduate position from the Purdue University- one of the oldest and most prestigious universities for academic research.
She is aspiring to pursue her interests in synthetic organic chemistry, especially in the fields of catalysis and synthesis of bio-active molecules, as a part of this PhD program in the Department of Chemistry at the Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA.
Ms. Vibha is in the 5th year of the 5-year Integrated M.Sc Chemical Sciences program. She is currently undertaking her final year project with Prof. Balamurugan on the reactivities of diazo compounds, in the School of Chemistry, UoH. Prior to this, she has done projects through the Indian Academy of Sciences fellowship, at IIT-Kharagpur under Prof. Amit Basak, and also via the NTU-India Connect fellowship at NTU, Singapore under Prof. Steve Zhou as part of her summer internships."
