Woman hit by sand-laden tractor dies

Basheerabad:  A female worker in an illegal sand quarry was killed when she was hit by a sand-laden tractor in a stream at Gotigakalan on Wednesday night.

She was identified as  Kistan Venkatamma of Gatigakalan. She was hired by sand smugglers to load the tractor with the sand quarried from the stream’s bed. SI Lakshmaiah registered a case and the police are investigating the case.
