City traffic police plans to distribute ‘cool jackets’

Gachibowli: The Hyderabad traffic police department will soon distribute cool jacket to its personnel this summer. These jackets will keep the body temperature 6-12 degrees celsius lower than the ambient temperature for 3- 5 hours, depending on the humidity in the environment. 

Speaking to The Hans India Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic) said, "They got a positive response from the traffic personnel regarding the jackets and hence decided to provide them to all the traffic police personnel." "After examining their efficacy, more such cool jackets will be procured and given to personnel performing duty on the roads. This will help them in carrying out their jobs easily, he said. The speciality of this cool jacket is that it keeps the wearer warm in winters, he added.

The product has a wide range of health benefits such as maintaining normal body temperature in extreme heat conditions while neutralising the effect of outside core temperature, he said.

"It also keeps in check heart rate elevation, thermal and cardiovascular strain, decreases dehydration, enhance tolerance levels and decreases rate of exertion" ''As these Jackets are very helpful as they cool body temperature. we got positive feedback last year, that's why we will be supplying this year too", said Anil.
