Strive to enhance police image in public eye, police officials told

Siddipet:  Police Commissioner D Joel Davis has called upon police officials to strive to increase credibility of police in the eyes of public by promptly responding on people’s problems. 

Reviewing activities of police commissionerate with senior officials here on Tuesday, he announced to start two free police recruitment coaching centers at Siddipet and Gajwel to train the police job aspirants in physical fitness and written tests.

He also promised rural youth to get driving license by contacting the RTO officials. He advised the police officials to make better use of IT cell and cyber lab in cracking the cases. He wanted them to focus attention on the habitual offenders. The police officers should use the latest technology in detection of the cases. 

The police officers should keep a strict vigil on the activities of rowdy-sheeters, suspect criminals, past criminals and so on. There should be round the clock vigil on bus stands, lodges and other suspected areas haunted by criminals. 

He said that beat patrolling should be enforced at night to prevent robberies. The police officials have been instructed to install CCTV cameras in villages under the Nenu Saitam programme. 

The police officials told the police commissioner that accident prone places on the Rajeev Rahadari have been identified and warning boards would be put on display in coordination with the road safety officials.
 
Additional DCP Administration Prabhakar, additional DCP law and order Narsimha Reddy, Siddipet ACP Rameshwar, Husnabad ACP Mahender, CIs Saidulu, Anjaneyulu, Srinivas, Niranjan, Raghu, special branch inspector Dayakar Reddy, RIs Kishan Rao, Ganesh, David Vijay Kumar, SIs and RSIs took part in the meeting.
