A few houses have already come up, while from other side of the pond, a vast portion of the Cheruvu have been occupied and efforts are being made to sell off the encroached portion. During the late-night hours, trucks loads of debris are dumped into the Cheruvu. The activity is going on unhindered for past few years and locals are involved in it.
