Residents stage dharna, blast civic officials

Nacharam: Residents of the Scientists’ Colony and Zaheernagar on Thursday staged a dharna resenting the indifferent attitude of the Kapra municipal officials. They criticised the officials for the rain water stopping on roads on account of closure of nalas, resulting in inconvenience to the people. They stated that following this they had approached court.

The residents alleged that the officials were violating the court directive by digging up roads for laying pipelines. This, they stated, won’t benefit them and resulted in wastage of public money. They wanted  officials at least now reopen the old nala so as to stop causing inconvenience. The residents asserted that the dharna would continue till the officials respond.
