BLF to give CM’s post to a Bahujan

Hyderabad: The Bahujan Left Front (BLF) will work for achieving social justice and all-round development of Telangana, said chairman Nalla Suryaprakash and convener Tammineni Veerabhadram. 

At a press conference on Friday, they stated that BLF would contest 119 Assembly seats after allotting 50 per cent to BCs. They questioned whether the TRS and Congress were willing to do so, as also the outfit of  Prof. Kodandaram. The BLF will give CM’s post to a Bahujan. Soon the BLF would undertake a State-wide tour.

The two leaders accused the Congress governments of neglecting poor farmers for 40 years. ‘The people have no faith in the Congress. The BJP is trying to weaken the SC, ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act’, alleged Suryaprakash.

Veerabhadram stated that election atmosphere was prevailing in Telangana, as there was a war of words between the ruling and the Opposition parties. He alleged that by giving cheque powers to Upasarpanches the powers of the Sarpanches have been weakened.They have been rendered fundless.

The CPI(M) leader demanded categorisation (ABCD) for BCs in the local body elections. He contended that education has been privatised  after the Private Universities Bill, thus depriving Dalits of education. Among those present were Prof Visheswara Rao, Janakiram, Rekha, John Wesley, Shriram Naik.
