Collector inspects crops damaged by hails, assures compensation

Gajwel: Siddipet district Collector P Venkat Ram Reddy visited the fields of crops hit by hailstorm on Wednesday and Thursday and assured the affected farmers of the compensation for the damage in Gajwel, Wargal, Nacharam, Jadevpur, Baswapur and Toopran in Gajwel Constituency on Friday. 

The crops of mirchi, mango, maize, tomato and paddy were affected by the heavy hails. The Collector assured the farmers not to get dejected by the unwanted rains and hails and the government will support all the affected farmers in all aspects to get out of the loss caused by the bad weather. 

He mentioned that VROs, Tahsildars, Agriculture and Horticulture officials and Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Coordinators will work by forming groups and prepare the lists of crop damages in 4 days time and display them at the gram panchayat offices in every village. And the farmers who are missed in the list, can apply to the concerned officials, said the collector. 

Joint Collector Padmakar , R&D Corporation Chairman T Narsa Reddy, Housing Corporation chairman Bhoomi reddy, GADA OSD Hanumantha Rao, DCCB chairman C Devendar Reddy and RSS district president Nagireddy, Agriculture and Horticulture officials and local public representatives participated in the program.
