SCB starts sterilising dogs

 ##BIG-IMAGESecunderabad: With a spurt in dog bite cases, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has started catching stray dogs. 

The drive started on Friday in all the eight wards in nabbing and sterilising the dogs.  According to officials there are close to 4,000 stray dogs that have been causing havoc. 
  
On Saturday itself, 30 stray dogs in areas such as Netaji Nagar, Jaya Nagar, Bapuji Nagar, Comsary Bazaar, Pedda Thokata, New Bowenpally that come under ward No 1 were caught and sent to Bolarum dispensary. The SCB does not have a special dog catching squad and is relying on its sanitation employees.
