Book on pilgrim and tourist places in SCR purview released

Hyderabad: In a first of its kind initiative, a book on pilgrim and tourist places in South Central railway jurisdiction was released here on Wednesday. 

The book “Railu Kathalu” a compilation of Rail stories in Telugu & ‘Pilgrim and Tourist places in SCR’ published by South Central Railway received good response. M Umashanker Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer, editor of the books said that the experience was fruitful. Secunderabad division bags GM’s efficiency shield. The General Manager’s efficiency shield for over all best performance was given to Secunderabad Division.  

Amit Varadan, divisional railway manager, Secunderabad Division received the shield along with team of officers. The General Manager also presented Commercial & Operating Performance Shields to Secunderabad Division, Civil & Finance Performance Shields to Vijayawada Division. 

Totally, the General Manager presented 33 Zonal Level Efficiency Shields to various Departments & Divisions, 102 individual awards for the officers and staff for in recognition of meritorious contribution. Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager stated that SCR attained top position on Indian Railways by bagging 7 performance efficiency shields out of 17 Shields along with prestigious Overall Performance “Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Shield”.
