Panchakarma generates Rs 84k revenue
Sangareddy: The ayurveda panchakarma treatment that started on February 19 is gaining popularity with each passing day. According to information received from the Sangareddy jail Rs 84,000 revenue was generated for the month of March.
When the treatment was first offered, the average income per day was Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 but in the month of March it increased to Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500.
One inmate B Ramesh was trained by specialists from Kerala and had taken to the job with ease. There are two practitioners from Kerala working at the centre who have been given a quarter inside the heritage jail. Superintendent of Sangareddy new jail Santosh Rai said the demand is growing and there are plans to rope in one more expert from Kerala.
