‘Poshaka Abhiyan’ programme organised

 Maheswaram: A ‘Poshaka Abhiyan’ programme was organised through the grama sabha in the grampanchayat of this mandal centre, in connection with the Ambedkar jayanti celebrations, by the Maheswaram and Ameerpet circles. Mothers and children of the four Anganwadi centre in the gram panchayat attended. Indravati, superviser, presided.

An awareness programme was organised for the benefit of children and pregnant women who have health problems on account of less blood and other similar problems. Children facing malnutrition were identified and their mothers educated on the preventive aspects. Among those present were Anganwadi workers K Swaroopa, S Savitri, Sabiya Sultana, Farzana.
