Hyderabad: The second annual general meeting of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Retired officer’s welfare association was held here on Sunday. The President of the association M V Nagavender Rao thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for appointing RTC officials as CMD instead of deputing bureaucrats.

He said that as on today there is no pension facility and medical bills reimbursement facility to the retired officers, unlike the government officials, the association wanted the MD to provide at least full reimbursement of medical bills incurred by the member in the old age, as the cost of health care is increasing day by day.

Managing Director G V Ramana Rao agreed in principle for all the representations of the association. He explained about the measures taken by the TSRTC in the last three years which made it to win members awards at the national level. He added that in the last financial year the annual revenues of TSRTC have increased by 11 per cent which is a record by itself.  He thanked the retired officer’s for having laid the foundation for productive work culture.
