2-year jail for corrupt revenue dept official
Sangareddy: Anti Corruprtion Bureau (ACB) Special Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday convicted a corrupted revenue official in a long pending of a bribery case and awarded him 2 years of jail and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000.
According to the DSP of ACB- Medak Range at Sangareddy, Rangrez Nouli Santhosh, who belong to Shankarampet(A) Mandal in the district, appealed for the survey of his land in the survey number of 44, 47, 48 and 49 to Deputy Inspector of Survey and Land Records at Sangareddy who demanded a bribe of Rs. 25,000 to do the same and was caught red handed by the ACB on October 10 in 2010.
Since then, the case has been in the pending and the ACB Special Court Justice found the accused of his crime and sentenced the official 10 years of jail with a fine of Rs. 10,000. If the convicted fails to pay the fine, the jail term will be extended for three months, the verdict said.
