Action sought against those threatening journalist

Osmania University: Representatives of several student organisations of  Osmania University on Wednesday demanded action against those who allegedly threatened journalist Swathi Vadlamudi to kill for her cartoon opposing the rape culture in the country.

Addressing a press conference at OU Guest House, leaders of the organisations pledged their support to Swathi, while pointing out none can prevent right to expression of views as provided in the Constitution.

The leaders asserted that it was regrettable that some communal organisations were not reacting to rapes of innocent girls. They demanded the immediate identification and arrest of those threatening Swathi in the social media. Those present at the press conference included AISF leaders Rahman, Prem, Satya, Nazeer(TVV), Arunak (DSU), David (OURS), Vishnu, Anand (PDSU),Srikanth (TVS).
