Basava Jayanti celebrated

Uppal: Uppal BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar garlanded the newly-built statue of lord Mahatma Basava here on Wednesday. 855th Basava Jayanti was celebrated by people of Basavannas. and Lingayat community on a grand note here on Wednesday. People offered prayers and many social works were performed on the occasion. Kota Gundappa, Vijay Kumar, Kumara Swamy, Dhanraj, Mallikarjun, Shiva, Ganapathi and Kollappa were present.
