Collector holds review meet on Haritahaaram

Vikarabad: District Collector Syed Omer Jaleel directed the officials to upload the details of the target reached regarding the Haritha Haram Programme before April 25. He reviewed a meeting here, at collectorate on Thursday with district officials, Tahsildars and MPDOs. 

The collector directed the nodal officers to organise water day on every Friday and protect the saplings allotted to them. Keeping the scorching heat in coming two months, take precautionary methods to protect the plants, the collector ordered. He told them to plant trees at burial grounds, churches and Eidgah Grounds.Expressing concern over fate of small birds and sparrows during this summer, the collector directed the officials to provide water and food for the birds. He released the banner designed by forest department.

The Collector ordered the officials to make the district ODF by October 2018. MPDOs should visit villages and create awareness among the public, he said. He told Tahasildars to gear up for the distribution of new pass books and schemes like providing Rs 4000 each acre etc. The linkage of Aadhar with saving accounts of farmers and collection of digital signatures should be completed immediately, he ordered. Joint Collector Aruna Kumari, DRO Sandhyarani, DRDO Johnson, DFO Srilakshmi, Agriculture Officer Gopal, RDOs Viswanatham, Venu Mahdava Rao, Tahasildars, MPDOs and other officials were present.
