Cops, AO conduct inspections at seeds & pesticides shops

Kukunoorpally:  Kukunoorpally Sub Inspector Parameshwar along with Dubbaka Division Agriculture Officer (AO), Shyam Sundar conducted inspections at seeds and pesticides shops in Kukunoorpally village in Kondapaka mandal of Siddipet district to check the practice of selling adulterated or spurious seeds and pesticides at the shops to the farmers under his police station limits on Thursday. 

Though no such cases were filed, the police said the government had banned BT-III cotton seeds in the state and warned that if any such kind of selling of bogus seeds, pesticides and fertilisers is witnessed, cases will be registered and legal actions will be taken against the traders under Prevention of Detention Act and also alerted the farmers to inform the police about such practice.
