Thatched house burnt to ashes

Tandur: A poor man’s thatched hut was reduced to ashes in Chaitanyanagar of Peddemul mandal on Thursday. The poor man Madasu Dasthaiah was living in the hut with his family. The incident occurred when his family went to attend a marriage while he was at his work. 

A cash amount of Rs 25, 000 along with household items caught fire. Dasthaiah lamented that a loss of almost Rs 80, 000 was incurred. Locals say the victim had no own house, that is why living in hut. They appeal authorities to help him in all possible ways.
