Death penalty for sexual assault of minors below 12 hailed

Hyderabad:  Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao State Chairperson Gonguluri Vijayalakshmi on Sunday welcomed Union Cabinet’s decision to award death punishment to those who outrage the modesty of minors below the age of 12 years.  

Responding to the Cabinet decision, she said that the decision should have been taken long back. Perpetrating offences on children would demonstrate perversions. Such perverse act would attract lethal punishment from now onwards, she said.
