Wakf Board officials avoid HRC hearing

Saidabad: TS Wakf Board officials failed to attend the hearing of a case related to its claim of a plot in Saidabad at Human Rights Commission on Monday. In 2009, Wakf Board laid claimed the land parcel purchased by Md Mustafa Alvi, a resident of Saidabad in 1978. He said that despite several complaints from him to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the last 9 years, the officials failed to inspect the place at Badshah Rahmatullah Alay dargah being claimed by Wakf Board. 

Even though 11 acres and 21 guntas of land comes under the dargah, he alleged that the officials have singled him out and targeting four properties he bought several decades ago. After the Wakf Board failed to take cognizance of his claims, he approached the HRC, but none of the officials have turned up for hearing on April 23 and undermined the authority of Human Rights Commission.
