Car rams into auto from behind; 1 dies, 6 injured

Gajwel: In a road accident in which a car rammed into an auto from behind, one person died and 6 more injured on Monday. The road mishap took place on State Highway-1 at Rimmanaguda village of Gajwel mandal in Siddipet district. According to the eye witness, the speeding car bearing number TS08EJ 1110 on its way to Hyderbabad from Siddippet crossed its lane and rammed into the car from behind when the auto was about to move with 9 passengers. 

In the rear-end collision, the passenger of the auto Beeda Yasareni Lingaiah, 55-year-old farmer of Kodakandla village, died on the spot with severe head injury and 6 more passengers of the three wheeler including the driver of the auto received injuries while the man who was behind the wheel of the car escaped with minor injuries as air bags were opened by the impact. The condition of a young woman Rajitha, a resident of Rimmanaguda, was said to be serious and was sent to the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. The passengers in the auto said the car collided their vehicle by crossing its lane with the speed of tons claiming a life and injuring several passengers in the auto. Both the vehicles were damaged in the clash. Gajwel mandal Police registered a case regarding the accident.
