Tolichowki: Qutub Shahi Heritage Park was flooded with public on Sunday. Mohammed Jameel Ahmed from the ticket management team said this happened for the first time in the past three years. The phase one of the Qutub Shahi tombs has completed and it is a complete delight for both newcomers and old visitors. The newly conserved necropolis is gaining popularity among Hyderabadi’s again, many visitors come to visit the site with sheer curiosity to see what is being done, whereas some enjoy the topography of architectural marvel, and some come here for peace and nature.

Each tomb is designed in a different way like the double storied complex of Sultan Jamshed’s tomb and elegant tomb of Sultan Ibharim Quli Qutub was adorned with exquisite tiles. In fact, each building in the site, has a story of its own both historical and architectural value. Jameel Ahmed said over 1,050 visitors came to the park on Sunday, 200 of them were kids, and it is because it is the first Sunday of summer vacation to the schools and the opening of Phase of the development. Most of the area is now accessible to the general public, we would have got more visitors get scattered at the Deccan Park.

Site development is completed now and is now inviting innumerable visitors. One of the visitors said “He is playing flute since past 30 years at the tomb of Sultan Quli Qutub Shah. This tomb is crafted in a way that provides perfect ambience for my mind and flute. A distinctive tune of voice can be heard in each tomb of Qutub Shahi Heritage Park. For three consecutive years, the park was sealed, and now when the tombs are open, I can feel the nostalgia.

Another visitor said “Renovated tombs are better, but government should also concentrate on providing better facilities to the visitors. There is only one toilet for such a spacious park and during this harsh summer they must install drinking water pots for visitors.” A security guard at the park said, “Each major tomb is guarded by a man, who takes care of the newly lime-washed walls from graffiti makers".
