Cops detain 170 under ‘Chabutra Mission’

Charminar: Continuing its crack down on night Romeos in Old City, south zone police detained about 170 people from various localities during the night operations. They were detained for roaming in the streets late night as part of the 'chabutra mission' of the police.  

Many young, elderly persons were among the detainees. They were detained during a comprehensive drive by the police sleuths. Several interior places, hotels, streets and other places were raided by the cops and night Romeos were detained.  Later, on Thursday morning they were given counselling at Minar Garden Function Hall by south zone additional DCP Ghouse Mohiuddin and Mirchowk ACP B Anand.
