Defensive police tactical training for Vikarabad personnel

Vikarabad: Assistant Sub-Inspector of police Naresh and six constables from the district underwent a phased defensive police tactical training in the Telangana Police Academy. They, in turn, are training the district police personnel aged below 35 years so as to make them efficient in not only boldly facing the enemy in any situation but also protect their colleagues. While the first phase of this training is over, the second phase from April 17 concluded on Friday.

So far 34 personnel at the police station level have been trained under the leadership of an SI. Six ADIs Chandrasekhar Reddy, Harikanth Reddy, Abhinav, Naveen Kumar, Qutbuddin and Irfan supervised specialised training. During this training the stress was on how to control the enemy, how to take suspects into custody, how to mount an assault if the enemy is armed has transport facility, how to attack and such other techniques. 

At the concluding session on Friday morning in the district police office grounds, the ACP, Additional SP, DCBR Inspector and RI attended a demonstration. Addressing the participants, SP T Annapurna stated that the defensive police tactical training was being conducted in accordance with the orders of the higher-ups. She advised those who complete the training to regularly practice the techniques and use them to protect themselves as also the people. The SP assured the gathering that better facilities would be provided for the trainees. She said they would be given cash rewards and good service entry.

The Additional SP advised the trainees to use the techniques for protecting their colleagues and the people as to bring laurels to the district police. He presented the first three prizes to the meritorious trainees. They were Rajesh Kumar (Marpalli police statition), Krishna (Doma PS) and Aklesh (Tandur PS).
