150 attend free diabetic camp

Sainathpuram: A free diabetic camp was conducted by Ashwin Hospital and diagnostic centre in association with Pakshiraj apartment here on Sunday. About 150 persons from different walks of life attended the camp. Orthopedic surgeon Koteshwara Rao checked the patients.   

Representatives of the hospital said that the camp was successful as many people took part and the response was overwhelming. Treasurer Laxminarayana, secretary Chandrashekar, president Dr Kappor and vice president Venkateshwar were present on the occasion. Orthopedic surgeon Koteshwara Rao said that in many cases if a balanced diet coupled with exercise is followed, diabetics can easily be controlled. Reduction in use of oil and sweets can go a long way in the keeping diabetics at bay.
