GHMC blind to public woes, allege locals
Jagadgirigutta: The overflowing drainage was left unattended even after several complaints to the authorities concerned of GHMC at Sanjay Gandinagar. The locals said that, "the drainage problem has been there for more than a week and none of the GHMC officials came to fix it.
The drainage water is flowing down the roads and causing inconvenience to the locals. Since, 15 days the TRS party leaders are busy with the plenary preparations and hence turned a blind eye to the problem. It is not fair for them to neglect the problems of the public and work for party's own benefit.” The locals raised questions over civic authority officials concentrating on party plenary celebrations rather than on the woes faced by the public. At least now the GHMC officials should act fast and fix the drainage problem, they said.
On the other hand, the opposition leaders alleged that the local TRS leaders were totally involved in the preparations of plenary session that was held on April 27 and completely forgot to keep an eye on public problems. They are misusing their power and neglecting the issues of public, they said.
