Harish Rao inspects R&R Colony works for Kondapochamma outsees

Mulugu: Irrigation  Minister T Harish Rao inspected and reviewed the construction works 2BHK houses of Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Colony at Tuniki –Bollaram in Mulugu Mandal of Siddipet district on Monday morning. Speaking to the scribes, the best R&R colony in the country was being for the outsees of Kondapochamma reservoir such as Mamidyala, Bailampur and Tanedarpally villages with best quality and amenities with utmost dedication with the deadline of July unlike in the previous governments in the past for the evacuees of the irrigation projects.

The minister said out of 4638 acres of land, 4468 acres of land that means 99 per cent of land acquisition was already completed for the project. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was partial to farmers and supporting the outsees who face the submergence under the newly proposed projects by the TRS government for the welfare of the farming sector while delivering justice to the evacuees at the same time, said the lawmaker who assured that he would inspect the works biweekly and review with the Collector, GADA and RDO regarding the construction works of R&R colony. 

With the capacity of 15 TMC ft water, 1.55 crore out of 3.64 crore cubic metres of soil works and construction of 1 out of 2 pump houses of the reservoir which will irrigate 2,85280 acres of land in 5 districts and drinking water for Medak, Sangareddy, Bhuvangairi, Medchal and Hyderabad districts,  have already been completed, said the Legislator. 

The project will be livelihood for 1055 fishermen families and will be transformed into a tourist spot. The government will support the unemployed youth of the evacuated families by conducting job melas and free coaching with accomodation for the competitive examinations and notifications by the gover.
