TRS pro-farmer government: Minister Harish
Wargal: during the regime of Congress government in the state, the farmers were bothered by the scarcity of electricity, fertilisers and seeds. But now, the farming sector in Telangana state has got rid of all those travails aftrr the TRS came into power, said the Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao here during the inauguration of modern go-down with 5,000 MT storage capacity constructed with the NABARD funds of Rs. 3crore at Shakaram in Wargal mandal on Monday.
With the expenditure of Rs.1024 crore, modern go-downs with the storage capacity of 22 lakh MT across the state have been constructed in the TRS ruling and supporting the farmers with the Investment Support Scheme by providing them yearly financial assistance of Rs. 8000 per acre realising the pain of peasants to get out of their debts. With the cost of Rs. 11 crores, a cotton market yard will be constructed out of Rs.53 crore funds for the market developmental works at Gajwel, announced the minister during his tour in Gajwel constituency.
Before that, Minister Harish Rao inaugurated the Gajwel Rural Circle Inspector office at Gauraram village along with the Nizamabad DIG N Shiva Shanker, Siddipet Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis. The Rural Circle office was constructed at the cost of Rs. 30 lakhs in 1474 sq.ft with ultra modern facilities.
The new police stations at Koheda, Dubbaka are under constructions with the cost of Rs. 98 lakh and Rs. 30 lakh respectively while the CP office at Siddipet will be ready by next year by Rs. 15 crore allocation, said the Minister who said the foundation stone will be laid for the new police station building at Komuravelli, Markook, Akkannapet, Rayapole mandal headquarters soon. MLC Farukh Hussain, Housing Corporation Chairman Bhoomi Reddy, GADA Hanumantha Rao CIs and Sub Inspectors and MPPS and other public representatives participated in the program.
