Use toll free numbers for safety: RPF DSP
Malkajgiri: Railway Police Force (RPF) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kumaridhar appealed women railway passengers to utilise toll free numbers in case of any problem, at women railway passenger’s security awareness programme here on Friday. The DSP advised passengers to close the window while wearing gold chain and sitting at windows.
In case of a stranger offers snacks like biscuits, without eating them call to 182 number to file a complaint, Kumaridhar suggested. He also suggested to call 1098 to avoid harassment from co-passengers. If any cases regarding the above two instances the RPF police swing in to action immediately and act against culprits, said DSP. The DSP said that 40 RPF persons working at Malkajgiri railway station. ACP Sambasiva, CI Raju, Noor, Babu, Murthi were present.
