Dundigal: There seems to be a competition among politicians of the Telangana Rasthra Samiti (TRS) and the Congress in burning effigies of prominent leaders in Qutbullapur. This is causing inconvenience to the people who don’t know when the game of one-upmanship will end. Those caught in traffic jams caused by such protests quip that they are intended to only to get noticed by the top leadership.

The TRS party appears to have stolen a march over others. On Monday Congress activists led by former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud had set on fire to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s effigy for his comments against TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy. On Tuesday TRS leaders burnt Goud’s effigy near Gandimaisamma traffic zone. Among those who took part in the protest were ZPTC Member Prabhakar Reddy, Dundigal mandal president Nagaraju.
