Chided by spouse, woman commits suicide

Tandur:  A housewife allegedly committed suicide on Sunday by hanging herself from the roof of her house in Peddemul. She reportedly took the extreme step following an altercation with her husband on Saturday. 

The deceased was identified as Kavita wife of Kummari Sandu in the village. The couple had an altercation on Saturday night on attending a marriage in the village. 

Sandu refused to allow Kavita to attend the marriage in the dead of the night and asked her to go with him on Sunday morning.  A dejected Kavita is understood to have taken the extreme step. The body was sent for post-mortem. On the complaint from her family members, the police registered a case and are investigating it.
