Sanitation workers told to clean Muslim graveyard
Siddipet: Municipal Commissioner Srinivasa Reddy has asked sanitation workers to clear garbage from the burial grounds of the Muslims.
On account of the forthcoming Ramzan festival, the civic commissioner visited several burial grounds meant for the Muslims in the town on Wednesday. He asked the sanitation workers to remove weed growth and other garbage from various masjids in the town and burial grounds of Muslims at Mangammathota and Bara Imam.
He said over 70 sanitation workers were assigned task to remove garbage from the burial grounds. As part of the Ward Watch programme of the civic body, he inspected the sanitation at Mangammathota, Barah Imam and at the NGOs’ Bhavan.
He asked the residents of various colonies to not to dispose of their household garbage in drainage canals as it would pose problems to them including the mosquito menace. He advised the people to discard their garbage in the tractor deputed by the civic body to collect garbage.
He told the sanitation workers to clean the drainages from time to time without giving any room for complacency. Sanitary inspectors Satyanarayana and Nagesh nunicipal staff and others took part in the programme.
