Dy CM, Ministers participate in Rythu Bandhu meet

Narayanaraopeta (Siddipet):  Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali, Agriculture Miniser Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Irrigation Minister Harish Rao participated on the last day of distribution of land Patta Passbooks and Crop Investment cheques to the farmers at Narayanraopet village of Siddipet Rural mandal on Thursday. 

The Ministers, the Deputy CM and State Rythu Samanvaya Samithi president Gutta Sukhendar Reddy, who reached to the village by air from Hyderabad, were welcomed to the venue by the villagers with a grand rally and launched the program by illuminating the light at the venue.

Before distributing the passbooks and cheques, the Deputy Speaker said the farmers who were neglected by the previous governments are now top priority for TRS government which has introduced the Rythu Bandhu Scheme with Rs. 12,000 crore including secured passbooks after the purification of land records with reorganisation of districts and revenue divisions in the state to facilitate the administration. 

Rythu Bandhu Scheme and Rythu Bhima (Life Insurance Scheme whch is to be implemented from June 2) are the historical decisions and being implemented by the Telangana which is the only state in the country for the welfare of the farmers, said the agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who noted that 1 crore acres of agriculuture land would be irrigated with the expenditure of 1.5 lakh crore budget in one year.

Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said Ranganayaka sagar project would be finished in four months to irrigate 4600 acres in the village.The Programme was attended by MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Redddy, MLCs P Sudhakar Reddy and Farukh Hussain, district Joint Collector Padmakar, district Agriculturer Officer and revenue officials.

Prior to this, the Irrigation Minister participated in the Rythu Bandhu Scheme at Bachayapally village and Chinna Kodur mandal headquarters in Siddipet district and distributed the land patta passbooks and crop investment cheques worth Rs. 1.25 crore cheques to 1166 farmers at Bhachayipally village and Rs. 1.78 crore worth cheques to 1598 farmers of Chinna Kodur , Metpally and Salendri villages after inaugurating the Gangaputra Community (fishermen) hall and model vegetable market built at the cost of Rs. 30 lakh and laying foundation stone for Gouds Community hall with Rs. 10 lakh funds. 

He assured the farmers that the scheme would be continued every year and the irrigation water through Kaleshwaram project will be a reality to irrigate 4000 acres extra in Chinna Kodur village by the end of this year. TRS government is working restlessly to accomplish the micro and macro irrigation projects including Mission Kakatiya and Irrigation projects to increase the ayacut to 1 crore acres in the state, said the Minister who also inspected the infrastructure and facilities at agriculture market yard at Chinna Kodur.
