Golluri inspects silt removal works

Meerpet: Local corporator Golluri Anjaiah inspected the culvert and silt removal works of main drainage line at Road No 7 of Krishna Nagar on Friday. The civic body officials said that the works were taken up on a war footing before the onset of monsoon. The Krishna Nagar area is susceptible to flooding and the silt removal was a major work that would help in free flow of water, informed an official. 

Last month the locals had submitted a written request to the local corporator as well as the civic body to start the desilting works.  AE Tirumalaih, works inspector Chary, TRS division president Vanjari Praveen, Krishna Nagar Colony Association vice president Malla Reddy, secretary Devaraj were present.
