Work for community hall begins

Mallapur: There was a sense of joy in the air for the residents of Janapriya township who have been waiting for the construction of a community hall for the last four years has now finally begun. The foundation stone for the community hall was laid in 2015 but the contractor did not start the work.

Local corporator Pannala Devender Reddy took the initiative and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) appointed a new contractor who would be completing the work at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.

The corporator inspected the construction works of the community hall at Janapriya township on Friday.  Ravinder, a resident said, “With the commencement of the work, there is a sense of joy among the people. We have been requesting the government for a community hall which would be useful in many ways. 

We can also use it as a gym.” GHMC Engineering wing assistant engineer Venkatesh, Ward members T Srinivas Goud, and PR Praveen, TRS leaders Murahari Goud, Dayakar Reddy, R Sriniavas, Janapriya Township residents Sharma, Umamaheshwara Rao, Saikumar, Aruna, Lakshmi were present.
