Farmers lay siege to MRO office

Daultabad:  Farmers laid siege to the office of MRO here on Monday for failure of the Tahsildar to distribute the Rytu Bandhu cheques. They also staged rasta roko to register their protest against the delay. 

They demanded immediate resumption of distribution of the cheques. They were pacified by the Tahsildar Siva Kumar who promised to distribute cheques to farmers of all villages within a week. BJP leader Kura Venkataiah and Congress leader Bodi Venkata Reddy and farmers from various villages took part in the protest programme.
