‘Former SCB, CEO did not follow proceedure’

Update: 2018-05-22 03:47 IST

Secunderabad: The SCB vice president J Ramakrishna said that the former CEO Sujatha Gupta did not bring to the notice of the board members the letter from the Ministry of Defence.

He refuted the allegations that the board members did not raise the issue of road closure in the board meetings. He assured the members of Resident Welfare Associations that criminal procedure would be initiated against all those officials who gave false affidavits.

It may be noted that in 2015, the Ministry of Defence had sent a directive to all the cantonments to reopen the roads and follow section 258 of the Cantonment Act 2006. Pankaj Sethi says, “The LMA does not have the authority to close roads. Public opinion should be taken and the issue has to be discussed in the SCB board meetings.”
