People urged not to give credence to rumours on loot gangs

Tandur:  Tandur CI Pratapa Lingam on Monday appealed to people not to give credence to rumours that a gang of thieves and murderers descended on the town from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. He said that those who are responsible for spreading the fake news through social media would be brought to book.
 
He asked the people to not to believe the gang is targeting lonely people and children to loot money.  He asked the people to pass on information to police dialing 100 if they found movements of any strangers in their locality are suspicious.
